Phare – Empowering vulnerable youth through art and the circus
Phare Ponleu Selpak – meaning 'Brightness of the Arts' – is a Cambodian non-profit art school located in Battambang that operates the social business Phare Circus in Siem Reap. They have been empowering vulnerable children, youth and communities through artistic, educational, social and community outreach programs since 1994.
Why are donations needed now?
Income from Phare Circus usually covers 60% of the non-profit's operational costs. The closure of the social business due to the dramatic decline in tourism has left the organisation facing an unprecedented financial challenge and their 1,000+ vulnerable beneficiaries in urgent need of your support.
