Mekong Plus – Developing disadvantaged rural communities
Mekong Plus trains and supports people to develop disadvantaged rural communities in Vietnam and Cambodia. They bring together teams of people that work with the poorest sectors of society to increase community participation in healthcare, education and infrastructure programs.
Why are donations needed now?
Mekong Plus operates a social enterprise called Mekong Quilts, which trains and employs underprivileged women to create high quality products that are sold to tourists at their shops in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Profits go towards Mekong Plus' community development work. Without tourists, this income stream has been lost and the organisation needs your support to continue developing communities across Vietnam and Cambodia.
