Friends International – Providing vocational training in cooking and hospitality
Friends is a social enterprise saving lives and building futures of marginalized children, youth, their families and communities across Southeast Asia. One of their programs provides vocational training in cooking and hospitality through seven restaurants in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, as well as matching marginalized youths with opportunities in the tourism sector. The goal is to reintegrate and empower people to be productive, independent citizens who bring value to their communities.
Why are donations needed now?
All Friends' restaurants are either temporarily closed or operating at very reduced capacity. This threatens the sustainability of the organisation which relies heavily on tourist income from its social businesses to run its community programs. Donate now to help it continue its great work across Laos, and elsewhere in the region.
